Sign Off
Click on any in progress improvement, click Actions and choose the option Request Sign Off.
Understanding Sign-Off in the Improvement Workflow
What is Sign-Off?
Sign-off is the verification stage where an improvement is confirmed as completed. It serves as a formal agreement that the improvement meets requirements.
Workflow Stages
- Creation → becomes a “suggestion”
- Approval → becomes “in progress”
- Completion → marked for “sign-off” (if required)
- Sign-off → becomes “completed”
At any point, improvements can be:
- Rejected (not required)
- Placed on hold (postponed)
Using Sign-Off
Admin, Power Users and Approvers OnlyTo request sign-off:
- Open an in-progress improvement
- Click Actions
- Select Request Sign Off
- Choose one or more approvers
- Multiple approvers require unanimous sign-off
- Add optional completion notes (will be emailed to approvers)
Important Notes
- You’ll receive notifications as each person signs off
- The improvement automatically completes after all approvals
- You can modify approvers at any time without resetting existing approvals
- Canceling sign-off restarts the entire process
Making Sign-Off Optional
If you prefer to bypass sign-off, grant all users sufficient permissions to self-approve improvements.
